We are Extra Grateful for Extra Life Gamers

Extra Life was created in 2008 as a platform to unite thousands of gamers around the world to play their favorite games and raise funds in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.  So far this year, the Extra Life community has helped raise more than $11 million #ForTheKids. INCREDIBLE!

On behalf of The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, THANK YOU!

The official National Game Day was held on November 3, 2018, and was the biggest Extra Life gaming marathon held in San Antonio to date. Three Extra Life teams, “RackerGamers”, “River Walk Geeks and Gamers”, and the staff of Monocle, came together to support The Children’s Hospital, each hosting their own gaming events at Rackspace, Geekdom, and Monacle. Check out the clip below to see the RackerGamers racking up donations!

So far,  Extra Life San Antonio Guild members, Rackergamers, and other across the community, have raised over $57,000 for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. All 597 participants have done an amazing job bringing awareness to the community, and overall, contributing to the healing of the children.

Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life gamers have raised more than $40 million for sick and injured kids treated at 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.  All funds raised locally stay in our community to support treatment, research, and health-related programs, as well as capital projects, at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Your efforts mean the world to so many people, and we cannot express our gratitude enough.

Although the official game day has passed, gamers can continue playing for The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio through December 31, 2018 – and you can still support their efforts by donating at extra-life.org.
