Play Games and Heal Kids with Extra Life on National Video Game Day!

Extra Life is a peer-to-peer fundraising program benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since 2010, local gamers have raised funds by playing games to help heal kids treated at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio — raising more than $642,112! Today, we’re celebrating #NationalVideoGameDay with all of our amazing Extra Life gamers. We’re grateful for all of their hard work and the impact they continue to make year after year!

Students from Danville Middle School and Canyon Middle School in New Braunfels participated in a Family Game Night fundraiser earlier this year to benefit Extra Life!

Local gamers of all levels and from all categories — console, mobile, PC, table top, etc. — are invited to game for a causeWhile Extra Life’s Tabletop Appreciation Weekend is August 19-21 and the official game day is November 5, you can help save and improve the lives of kids being treated at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio by gaming whenever you want!

Here’s how it works: Participants sign up at Extra-Life.org, select The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio as your preferred CMN Hospital, set a fundraising goal, and start asking your friends and family to donate toward your efforts.

We have a super bonus for our Extra Life gamers this year! Now through the end of the year, for every $500 you raise through Extra Life, you earn an entry for a chance to win a life-size Iron Man statue! Go ahead and block out your Friday night plans to play your favorite games for kids – the more you raise, the more chances you have to win.
