Play Games. Heal Kids!

Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $40 million for sick and injured kids

Every individual participating in Extra Life has a personal reason as to why they chose to participate. Why would you participate?

“I heard about Extra Life on Reddit, and thought it was an awesome idea. The thing I love about Extra Life is that everyone is capable of doing good in this world. You don’t need to be a surgeon or wear a cape to save a life.  Everyone can take something they do already and make it about something bigger and better.” – Ryan Volker, #CMNHershey Gamer

“It’s one of the best feelings in the world knowing that what we do in this group is helping kids. They’re either born into this life or happen into their sickness/injury and are sometimes unable to live a full and fulfilling life, this helps make sure that they’re taken care of and gives them a chance to experience that life. Everyone deserves to live a happy and healthy life.” – Ben Tolson, #CMNHershey Gamer

You may have noticed there is a common theme among these gamer’s reasons for participating, and that is that it is for the kids. The kids whose bravery inspires us to continue this journey alongside them. The kids who are so grateful for your help.

Here’s a video from Tanya, one of our Extra Lifers, sharing her story about why she participates.
